MM&K speaks at London Stock Exchange Group webinar – Key trends for investors during 2021 and beyond

On Thursday 24th June, Stuart James, Principal at MM&K joined an expert panel at the London Stock Exchange, alongside Morrow Sodali, Datamaran, and Baker McKenzie to discuss key trends for investors in 2021, investor expectations, and challenges for listed companies.

The panel discussion was centred around Morrow Sodali’s 2021 Institutional Investor Survey.

• Remuneration & Voting
• Shareholder activism

Stuart set out the mixed messages created by Investor’s desire to have ESG measures in variable remuneration structures – whilst at the same time not making the lack of ESG measures a strong reason to vote against a company’s remuneration report. Stuart also took the opportunity to talk about the direct and indirect changes that COVID 19 has had on remuneration structures in the UK for both listed and private companies.
