MM&K speaks at Women on Boards networking event

On 26 May, MM&K Managing Partner and CEO, Paul Norris was honoured to have been invited to speak at a networking event for members of Women on Boards.  WoB CEO, Fiona Hathorn interviewed Paul about some of the key findings from Life in the Boardroom, MM&K’s 2021/22 survey of chairs and NEDs.  Subjects covered included: fee levels and differences between fees for male and female NEDs; the NED appointment process; the increasing demands of the NED role; board evaluation; continuing training and development; board evaluation, ESG and a range of other topics which survey participants, all of whom are chairs or NEDs, reported as being of particular personal interest or concern. This interesting and enjoyable event concluded with lively discussion in break-out groups and questions from the informed and knowledgeable audience.

About Life in the Boardroom

MM&K published the first Life in the Boardroom report in 1990. The survey is unique insofar as it collects data direct from chairs and NEDs and, in addition to information about their fees and time commitments, includes insights from individual NEDs on how they see life in their respective boardrooms – what’s working well, what’s not working so well and where change could be beneficial.
