Participate in the 2024 MM&K Private Equity and Venture Capital Compensation Survey to obtain the most recent insights into the pay trends

Last month MM&K launched its 29th annual Private Equity & Venture Capital Compensation Survey of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Industry.

The survey covers both short-term and long-term aspects of pay and incentive practice in the private equity, venture capital and infrastructure fund management space, including in the fund-of-funds and secondaries space. Short-term compensation includes base salary and annual bonus levels, as well as the design features of annual bonus plans in this sector. Long-term compensation focuses on the structure of carried interest plans and co-investment plans. We also report information on a large number of other people and reward issues. This year, the report will also include an in-depth diversity and gender pay analysis.

The results of the 2023 Survey indicated that only about 30% of firms expect to increase the number of their administrative staff and 50% expect to recruit more investment professionals.

Earlier this year we conducted a pulse survey, that focused on overall changes in base salaries, following the end of year reviews. The findings show that more than 50% of firms review salaries in December / January. Similarly to last year, this year almost 90% of firms increased the salaries for their Non-Partners junior investment professionals. The main survey will examine those changes on a more granular level, as well as look into all other aspects of pay.

The European Survey covers 53 investment and non-investment roles.
