2026 European Private Equity and Venture Capital Compensation Report
2026 European Private Equity and Venture Capital Compensation Report
Published annually, the MM&K – Holt European Private Equity & Venture Capital Compensation Report provides a comprehensive view of compensation practices across the private equity and venture capital sector throughout the UK and Europe.
The report is based on MM&K and Holt’s annual survey of private equity and venture capital fund managers, with data supplied directly by participating alternative investment firms. This participant-led approach ensures the findings are current, reliable and reflective of market practice. Each year, around 40 firms contribute detailed information on their remuneration policies, together with compensation data covering partners and employees across their organisations.
The report analyses all key elements of reward, including base salary, employee benefits, annual bonuses and carried interest participation for 53 roles within the industry. It also provides detailed insight into the design and operation of annual incentive plans, carried interest arrangements, co-investment programmes and GP commitment requirements, alongside a broad range of human capital and workforce trends.
The European Report is available for purchase by organisations and individuals seeking authoritative compensation data and market insight across the UK and European private capital market.
The European survey is generally only available to participating houses.
