2023 European Private Equity and Venture Capital Compensation Report

The MM&K – Holt European Private Equity and Venture Capital Compensation Report provides a comprehensive market view of compensation strategies and levels across the Private Equity and Venture Capital sector in the UK and Europe.

The Report is derived from the annual survey of PE and VC fund managers’ compensation that we conduct in the European region.  The data is gathered from participating alternative investment fund management businesses themselves and as a result it is reliable, accurate and right up to date. Typically, we have circa 50 firms in the European Survey providing us with detailed information about their remuneration policies as well as detailed compensation data for their employees and partners.  The Report covers all the components of compensation, from salaries and employee benefits to annual bonuses and carry participation levels, for 53 different job positions. It also covers in detail, the design, structure and levels of annual bonus plans, carried interest plans, co-investment plans and GP Commitment requirements. The Report also covers a broad range of general human capital and staffing issues.

The European survey is generally only available to participating houses.
