Life in the Boardroom 2023-2024

Life in the Boardroom is our biennial survey of Chairs and Non-Executive Directors.  The survey is unique as data is collected directly from Directors themselves, rather than from company staff or annual reports. This provides a more accurate picture of board practices and pay.

The Survey covers:

• Directors’ fees and time commitments
• Board governance
• Board effectiveness, regulation, diversity and ESG
• Working practices post-COVID-19 pandemic
• Participants receive a free copy of the report once published.

Whilst other reports only study publicly available documents, we collect data directly from directors. With that, at over 80 pages, 316 directors representing 788 board appointments, this is the source of information on how boardrooms work and how much they are paid.
